I've been reading Naoki Urasawa's awesome manga "20th century boys" and it has gotten me thinking about the times when I was a little kid and everything was less complicated....it makes me feel pretty nostalgic.........
anyway, I would die happy if I got to be half the artist Urasawa is....
The not so great Eugene Green is a 13 minute short film I worked on last year. I did mostly secondary character animation and also a bit of cleaning up and colouring.
The film was directed by Michael Hill, produced by Melanie Brunt and the lead animator was Peter Lowey.
The Film is currently being screened as part of the Sydney film festival and was also one of the finalists for the Dendy Award and the Yoram Gross Animation Award.
A few weeks ago I was contacted to do some character exploration for an interesting project in Colombia which I can't reveal at the moment. Hopefully I won't get busted putting these images on the internet.
The following is an image of a comic that I'm planning to draw, just wanted to try some manga tones. I really like the result. If everything goes well I should be starting this comic project in around may....
